Aurore Casanova Puisieulx, Grand Cru (Chardonnay)

Les Petites Vignes Chardonnay Grand Cru 2022 base is a 100% Chardonnay from the Les Petites Vignes locality in Puisieulx Grand Cru. The vines, planted in the late 1980s, grow on silt and clay soil resting on hard limestone, with an eastern exposure.

Fermentation is natural and the 2022 base spends eleven months on lees in 228 and 400-liter barrels before being blended with a perpetual reserve started in 2017. Neither fined nor filtered. Bottled on July 31, 2023, disgorged in April 2025, and dosed at 2 g/l as Extra Brut. An ample, iodine-rich, and chalky Chardonnay with a long, saline finish.
