Aurore Casanova Puisieulx, Grand Cru (Pinot Noir)

Les Petites Vignes Pinot Noir Grand Cru 2022 base is made from 100% Pinot Noir from the "Les Petites Vignes" lieu-dit in Puisieulx Grand Cru. The vines, planted in 1968-69, grow on silt and clay soils over hard limestone, with an eastern exposure.

Fermentation is natural, followed by eleven months on lees in 228 and 400-liter barrels. The 2022 base is supplemented by a perpetual reserve started in 2016. Neither fined nor filtered. Bottled on July 31, 2023, and disgorged in October 2025, it is dosed at 1.5 g/l as an Extra Brut. An ample, tense, and saline Pinot Noir, where the red fruit remains framed by chalk.
