Benoît Marguet Les Saints Rémys, Grand Cru 2021

Les Saints Rémys 2021 comes from a tiny 0.37-hectare parcel in Ambonnay Grand Cru, planted with Pinot Noir in 1975 and 1992. At an altitude of 165 meters, silt and red clay rest on chalk at a depth of about 80 centimeters—a soil that yields a profoundly vinous wine here.

Aged in barrels, with very low sulfites and zero dosage, the cuvée is produced in a run of approximately 2,391 bottles. A dense and energetic Ambonnay Pinot Noir, with that mineral tension that prevents the power from becoming heavy.
