Benoît Marguet Shaman Rosé, Grand Cru 2022

Shaman Rosé 2022 defies expectations: the blend is dominated by 76% Chardonnay, complemented by 24% Pinot Noir, both sourced from Grands Crus in Ambonnay and Bouzy. The 2022 harvest makes up 80% of the cuvée, rounded out by 20% reserve wines.

This majority of Chardonnay produces a rosé that is straight, fresh, and chalky, far from a simply fruity profile. As is typical at Marguet, aging takes place in barrels with minimal sulfur, malolactic fermentation, and zero dosage. A rosé of tension before it is a rosé of color.
