David Léclapart L'Artiste 2022

L'Artiste starts with old biodynamic chardonnay vines in Trépail Premier Cru, based on the 2022 vintage. While L'Amateur remains in enameled steel, L'Artiste introduces wood: approximately 11 months of aging, divided between old barrels and enameled vats, to provide texture, oxygen, and depth.

Fermentation and malolactic conversion occur spontaneously with very little sulfur. After approximately 24 months on the lees, the cuvée is disgorged without fining, without filtration, and with no dosage. Same chalk, different approach: more vinous, more textured, and still vibrant.
