Huré Frères Inattendue, Blanc de Blancs 2019

Inattendue Blanc de Blancs 2020 is a 100% Chardonnay from Ludes and Rilly-la-Montagne. In a house closely linked to the black grape varieties of the North Face, the name takes on its full meaning: this cuvée offers a different interpretation of the same hillsides.

The wine remains on its lees in the bottle for several years before disgorgement and receives a very low dosage, around 2.5 g/l according to the 2019 editions. Lemon, toasted notes, tension, and substance result in a Blanc de Blancs that is more vinous than ethereal, with a chalky finish that immediately places the wine back in the Montagne de Reims.
