Krug Vintage 2000

Krug 2000, offered here in a gift box, tells the story of a year of heat, rain, and storms. The House’s Tasting Committee nicknamed it “Stormy Indulgence”: an expression that perfectly summarizes an intense, generous, and yet remarkably precise vintage.

The blend brings together 43% Chardonnay, 42% Pinot Noir, and 15% Meunier—almost a dialogue of equal parts between Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, completed by the Meunier. On the nose and palate emerge caramel, nougat, hazelnut, and freshly baked pastries. Unlike Grande Cuvée, Krug 2000 does not seek to transcend its year: it tells its story.
