Benoît Lahaye Blanc de Blancs

The Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru from Benoît Lahaye comes from Voipreux, in the Côte des Blancs, from a tiny 0.2-hectare plot called Les Monts Ferrés. Planted in 1952 by Benoît's grandfather, the Chardonnay there is treated with the same low-intervention philosophy as the Pinot Noir from Bouzy.

The cuvée is dry, full-bodied, and generous, with enough substance to never fall into a mere caricature of minerality. A Côte des Blancs interlude in a domain deeply associated with Pinot Noir.
