Clandestin Les Semblables Boréal 2022

Boréal 2022 is a Blanc de Noirs from Clandestin, 100% Pinot Noir from cool-facing plots in the Barséquanais, on clay-limestone soils marked by Kimmeridgian marl. Benoît Doussot’s principle is simple: group "similar" terroirs by exposure to make their differences legible in the glass.

Fermentation with indigenous yeasts, aging in neutral French oak barrels, then approximately fifteen months on lees in the bottle. No filtration, no dosage. Boréal is the more taut side of the pair: fresh, vertical, and mineral, with the Pinot Noir kept under tension by the exposure.
