Marie Courtin Présence

Présence is an atypical Blanc de Blancs from Marie Courtin, blending 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Blanc in Polisot. The two grape varieties do not rest on the same geology: the Chardonnay grows on Portlandian soil, the Pinot Blanc on Kimmeridgian limestone.

Fermentation occurs with indigenous yeasts in vats, without added sulfur, fining, or filtration. After approximately three years on lees, the cuvée is disgorged with zero dosage. Présence combines pear, white flowers, citrus, and a very firm chalky structure. A rare cuvée that showcases the Côte des Bar through its white grape varieties rather than Pinot Noir.
