Mathieu Faniel Louise and Augustin 2022

Louise & Augustin is the blended cuvée from Mathieu Faniel in Cormoyeux. It brings together 70% Meunier and 30% Chardonnay from organically certified vines grown on clay and marl soils.

Fermentation is spontaneous, the wine is neither fined nor filtered, and sulfur levels remain very low. The residual sugar is approximately 3 g/l, in an Extra Brut style. More than just a plot-based cuvée, Louise & Augustin provides the key to the new Faniel project: ripe fruit, Meunier texture, freshness, and minimal intervention.
