Dom Pérignon 1998

Dom Pérignon Vintage 1998 was born from a year of contrasts: extreme heat in August, followed by exceptional rainfall in early September. The harvest was delayed until ideal conditions returned, allowing for the gathering of healthy grapes at perfect maturity.

Over time, 1998 has developed a broad yet very restrained expression: fresh almond, grapefruit, spices, lightly toasted brioche, and a saline finish that keeps the wine in motion. Less sharp than 1996, more enveloping, but never heavy. A vintage where the wait during the harvest seems to have shaped the very form of the wine.
