Pierre Gerbais Grains de Celles 2022

Grains de Celles 2022 is a blend of 50% Pinot Noir, 25% Pinot Blanc Vrai, and 25% Chardonnay, sourced from a mosaic of about twenty plots in Celles-sur-Ource. The Kimmeridgian marl and limestone soils give the wine its tension, while the three grape varieties each play their part: structure, texture, and freshness.

The plots are harvested and vinified separately in stainless steel tanks, with natural alcoholic fermentation and malolactic fermentation. The wine remains on its lees in the tank for about 10 months, without fining or filtration, followed by 30 months on the lees in the bottle. Dosaged at around 3 g/l as an Extra Brut, Grains de Celles is the perfect gateway to the Gerbais style: precise, tactile, and deeply marked by Celles-sur-Ource.
