Pierre Gerbais Grains de Celles Rosé 2022

Grains de Celles Rosé 2022 features the estate's iconic blend: 50% Pinot Noir, 25% Pinot Blanc Vrai, and 25% Chardonnay, sourced from some twenty parcels in Celles-sur-Ource. A portion of the Pinot Noir is vinified as a red wine to provide the rosé’s color and structure without masking its chalky character.

Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats using indigenous yeasts, followed by aging on the lees and an extended period in the bottle. The cuvée remains Extra Brut, with very low dosage depending on the batch. Red currant, citrus, and small red fruits mingle with a taut, mineral finish. A blended rosé that remains, above all, a wine of terroir.
