Piollot Les Petites Mains 2020

Les Petites Mains 2020 is a Coteaux Champenois Rouge — meaning a still wine, without effervescence — made from 100% Pinot Noir. The grapes come from the Come des Tallants plot in Polisot, on the Kimmeridgian soils of the Côte des Bar.

The 2020 harvest is vinified as a red wine with 70% destemmed grapes and 30% whole clusters. The result is light, fresh, and mineral, with clean red fruit and fine structure. It is another way of interpreting the exact same terroir as the Come des Tallants champagne: without the second fermentation, the Pinot Noir speaks differently.
