Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame 2018

La Grande Dame 2018, offered here in a gift box, is the 25th vintage of Veuve Clicquot's prestige cuvée. The blend puts Pinot Noir front and center at 90%, complemented by 10% Chardonnay, in a solar year where grape ripeness was near ideal.

Dosaged at 6 g/l, the cuvée seeks balance rather than power: lemon, lime, yuzu, white fruits, and floral notes are carried by a very distinct saline tension. Deep and precise, La Grande Dame 2018 shows why Veuve Clicquot speaks of the "Art of Pinot Noir" rather than simply prestige.
