Veuve Clicquot Brut Rosé adopts the architecture of the Carte Jaune and adds to it red pinot noir wine—the approach devised by Madame Clicquot in 1818 to create the first blended rosé known in Champagne. The cuvée brings together 50% pinot noir, 30% chardonnay, and 20% meunier, sourced from 50 to 60 crus, with up to 45% reserve wines.
The addition of 12% red wine provides depth and structure, and the champagne then spends approximately three years in the House's chalk cellars. Dosaged at 9 g/l as a Brut, it plays on red and black fruits, spices, biscuit, croissant, and toasted notes. A generous rosé, yet fresh enough to never feel sweet on the palate.
